Waterproof - to depths of 10m. Shockproof - to withstand a 6.6-foot drop. Freeze proof - to perform at below-freezing temperatures. Crush proof - to withstand up to 220 pounds of pressure. The Stylus tough 8000 is virtually indestructible. It's a great "go anywhere" camera. A reward for myself for all the hard work this year =P

I am saddened by the demise of my maternal grandmother. May God give her eternal rest and may her soul rest in peace. I pray for her soul and for mom to regain strength from this. Forgive me for not being able to be at the wake and forgive me for not being able to say goodbye.

lost for now but loved forever

I am not much into reading and hardly ever finish anything i start, except for manga, mags, and some blogs. Until few days back, I randomly picked up a novel from Kinokuniya and got hooked straight away. 'Hotel Babylon' is about life behind the scenes of London's top class hotels, by Anonymous and Imogen Edwards-Jones. It describes a fictional hour-by-hour account of life and exposes the exploits of the staff and guests alike. A must-read for all hoteliers. Worth the 60 dirhams. There is also a BBC series with the same name based on this book.

Random post about one of my favourite freestyle rapper, Mc Jin a.k.a Jin or Jin The Emcee. I find myself more and more drawn to his songs. Songs that can give me exactly what I want from music at any given moment.

" Jin Au-Yeung (traditional Chinese: 歐陽靖; simplified Chinese: 欧阳靖; pinyin: Ōuyáng Jìng; Cantonese Yale: Āu Yèuhng Jihng) who performs under the mononym Jin, is a Chinese American rapper. Jin was born on June 4, 1982 in Miami, Florida. He was raised in Miami by his Chinese immigrant parents who ran their own restaurant.

In 2001, he decided to move his family to Flushing, Queens, New York City. Jin decided to forgo college and began performing freestyles and selling his own mix tapes on the streets, in hip-hop clubs and wherever else possible. He quickly gained a huge following, just as he had done in Miami. His big break came when the BET program 106 & Park began inviting local rappers to hold battles in a segment known as Freestyle Friday. Ready for the national exposure, he auditioned and again was underestimated due to his ethnic background.

Although he lost to Diabolic, he kept his head up and proved everyone wrong by winning the battles week after week. His first battle was against Hasan, who had six straight victories and was one victory away from being inducted into the hall of fame. Jin began the competition by delivering strong rhymes during his round. Hasan countered during his thirty second round with rhymes; however, with ten seconds left in the battle, Hasan lost his focus and was unable to deliver any more lyrics and stopped his performance. Jin was then declared the new champion. After winning for seven weeks straight, Jin was inducted into the show's hall of fame.

Some of the songs featuring Jin, including Ne-Yo's So Sick and Lee Hom's Heroes Of The Earth. Following is a list of some of my personal favorite songs, in no specific ranking. These are songs which have stood out from the rest in my mind, for some reason or other, most often simply because they're insanely catchy. Pwnage lyrics and crazy tunes. I list them here for the sole purpose that other people with tastes like mine might discover great songs they haven't heard before.

1. Same Cry
2. Love Story
3. C'Mon
4. Learn Chinese
5. Senorita

Cantonese

RIP

"Yoshito Usui, the Japanese manga artist responsible for the widely exported "Crayon Shin-chan" series, was found dead this weekend after an apparent hiking accident.

Usui, 51, was reported missing while hiking alone in mountains north of Tokyo. Police and family Sunday confirmed that a body later found by another hiker was that of Usui. Police said that there were no indications of suicide or foul play and that indications point instead to an accidental fall.

At a press conference it was revealed that police had found Usui's broken digital camera and that its memory card contained a photograph peering down a particularly steep cliff. "Usui apparently took that one last shot and then slipped and fell," an official from Futabasha Publishing said." - thr.com

I grew up reading and loving Crayon Shin Chan. His death is a great loss to the manga world. He will be forever remembered. Rest in peace.
